Madonna Rising

Blind to the undercurrent of sexual and nationalist revolt, 1890s London trembles on the precipice of imminent change and immense wars. In its vibrant and multicultural underbelly, a quiet revolution brews that marks the beginning of the end for patriarchal male dominance - a “new age” and a “new woman”.

In a dusty London warehouse, an artist and his muse struggle with an era-defining masterpiece, but when an ex-war journalist enters their world, they are thrust into an emotional battle that will transform their lives forever.

Madonna Rising reframes history through a feminist lens, challenging Victorian patriarchal norms by championing female agency, defying conventional gender roles, and reclaiming the occult as a tool of empowerment.

Approximately 110 minutes.
